Consul General Hideki YAMAJI attended the inauguration and turnover ceremony of the new Tourist Rest Area(TRA) to the Municipality of Medellin in Cebu on July 10, 2023. The TRA was established by Department of Tourism - Philippines(DOT).
On that day, Consul General likewise presented to Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco with a manifesto for his unwavering support of the Love the Philippines tourism campaign!
The following is his statement at “Love the Philippines” supporting rally.
“On behalf of the Japanese Government and the people of Japan, I fully and wholeheartedly support you and your “Love the Philippines” project. Since assuming my duty last May, I have widely travelled around Cebu and the Visayas regions, and was fascinated with the charm of natural beauty, people, culture, and historical heritage. From my experience, I am confident that the number of Japanese tourists will surge from this summer, because we, the Japanese, all love the Philippines”.
