The Japanese Film Festival 2024 was launched at the SM Seaside City Cebu Cinema on February 16, 2024.
Consul General Hideaki MATSUO made a speech during the opening ceremony. He mentioned the significance of the Film Festival in fostering cultural exchange and inspiring mutual understanding between Japan and the Philippines.
The Japan Foundation Manila and SM Seaside City Cebu are organizing the film festival. The director of Japan Foundation Manila, Mr. Ben SUZUKI, extended gratitude to the Cebuano people for their enthusiasm in Japanese cinema.
Following the ceremony, they enjoyed watching the first movie, THE FIRST SLUM DUNK.
