Consul General Hideaki MATSUO met members led by Mr. Rodolfo Toledo of the Negros Occidental Filipino Japanese Descendants Association, Inc. during his visit to Bacolod City on March 18, 2024.
Mr. Matsuo offered flowers and prayers to the Filipino-Japanese Memorial Monument located at Rosario Heights, Brgy. Taculing, Bacolod City.
The memorial monument was erected to the memory of the Filipinos, the Japanese soldiers and civilians who sacrificed their lives in Negros Island during the World War II.
