On April 29, the Government of Japan announced the 2025 Spring Conferment of Decorations on Dr. Maria Rosario Piquero Ballescas, the former President of Cebu Chapter of the Philippines Association of Japanese Government Scholars (Philajames).
In recognition of her contributions to deepening friendship and promoting mutual understanding between Japan and the Philippines, she receives “The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays”.
