Recruitment of a local staff at the Consulate General of Japan in Cebu

The Consulate General of Japan in Cebu is currently seeking to hire a local employee in the Consular Division.
 
Job Details:
  • Work location: 8F, 2 Quad Building, Cardinal Rosales Avenue, Cebu Business Park, Cebu City
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30-12:30 (1 hour Lunch Break) 13:30-17:15.
  • Salary: Subject to adjustment based on qualification.  
  • Overtime will be paid separately.
  • Philippine government mandated benefits.
  • 15 days of Annual leave and 7 days of Sick leave (Not applicable during the 6 months probationary period).
Responsibilities included but are not limited to:
  • Consular services (Passport, Certificate, Visa, Family Registration, Overseas Election, Assistance for Japanese in distress, etc.)
  • Customer Service (window, telephone, email, etc.)
  • Document composition and data research.
Qualifications
  • Good command of oral and written Japanese (Native-level Japanese proficiency equivalent to N2 Level in JLPT).
  • Good command of oral and written English (Business-level English proficiency).
  • Ability to speak in Cebuano or Tagalog is an advantage but not required.
  • Must be a Bachelor’s Degree holder.
  • Non-Filipino nationals must hold Permanent Residence visa and Certificate of Exclusion to secure AEP (Alien Employment Permit).
  • Good command of computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Available to work on weekends, holidays and late night, if necessary.

Please note that total size of the email (including attachments) must not exceed 10MB.
  1. Curriculum Vitae in Japanese or English.
    • Attach a recent photograph.
    • Specify work history and work nature in detail.
    • Explain your reason for this application.
    • Indicate contact number and email address you can be reached during the day.
    • Submit in PDF format (for email application).      
  2. School records (Tertiary and above)
  3. Documents certifying nationality and work eligibility.
- Photocopy of Government-issued ID with photo (Passport, etc.).
- (Non-Filipino nationals) Photocopy of Permanent Residence Visa and Certificate of AEP Exemption.
4.    Language Proficiency Certificate (if applicable)

Notes:
  • Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted for interview.
  • While non-native Japanese speakers may apply, as the work nature requires a high-level of Japanese proficiency, applicants may be required to take a proficiency test.
  • Applicants who will pass the initial screening will be required to submit NBI clearance.
