Bon Odori Festival 2025 organized by the Japanese Association Cebu was held on 24 and 25 May with approximately 22,000 participants.
Consul-General Hideaki MATSUO made an opening speech in Bisaya at the festival on May 24.
During the festival, top performers coming from Japan showed exquisite Japanese culture from the mesmerizing Awa dance in colorful yukatas, Yosakoi dance, and the powerful wadaiko drumming that filled with energy. Japanese martial arts teams also presented demonstration techniques.
A huge thank all the Japanese performers as well as local groups, the organizer for bringing this year's spectacular Japanese event to Cebu.
