 On July 11, Consul General Hideaki MATSUO paid a courtesy call on Mayor Ma. Cynthia King-Chan of Lapu-Lapu City. Mayor Chan highlighted their recent visit to Japan during the National Day of the Philippines at the Osaka-Kansai Expo. Together with Lapu-Lapu City Lone District Congressman Junard "Ahong" Chan, they discussed the city's ODA project (4th bridge), and both shared the desire to strengthen ties between Japan and Lapu-Lapu City.
