Consul General Hideaki MATSUO and Madam MATSUO paid tribute at the memorial service for the war dead (August 15, 2025)

On August 15, Consul General and Mrs. Hideaki MATSUO paid tribute at the memorial service organized by the Japanese Association in Cebu to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II.
The service was held at the "Cebu Kannon" (Goddess of Mercy) monument in the Marco Polo Plaza Cebu. Consul General read out a memorial address to the souls of those who lost their lives in the War and made a pledge for world’s peace.
They also offered flowers and prayed for eternal peace to the 14th Division Southern Army Hospital Memorial Monument in Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center and at the Filipino-Japanese Memorial Monument in Plaza Independencia in Cebu City.
