On August 22, Deputy Consul General Toshio YADOMI paid a courtesy call on Police Colonel Jerome D. Afuyog Jr., Chief of Regional Staff, Police Regional Office 6 (PRO6) in Iloilo City. The PRO6 covered provinces in Panay Island, including Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras and Iloilo.
On the same day, the Deputy Consul General made a courtesy visit to Police Colonel Bayani M. Razalan, the provincial director of the Iloilo Provincial Police Office (IPPO).
During the meetings, they discussed ensuring the safety of Japanese citizens living in the region and Iloilo Province as well as Japanese tourists in the area.
