On August 22, Deputy Consul General Toshio YADOMI attended the Blessings and Commemoration of the Japanese War Dead Memorial at Sunburst Park in Iloilo City.
The Japanese War Dead Memorial was restored in June 2025, through donations from private organizations with cooperation from the Iloilo City Government.
Iloilo City Mayor Honorable Raisa S. Treñas-Chu graced the ceremony together with other distinguished guests including Senator Ayaka Shiomura from Japan, former Senate President Franklin Drillon, Panay Nippi Kai, Inc. (PNKI) and many more.
