In the spirit of goodwill and continue closer ties, Consul-General Ueno paid a courtesy call on Hon. Cindi K. Chan, Lapu-Lapu City Mayor, on January 8, 2026.
During the meeting, Mayor Chan highlighted the city’s ongoing partnership with some local governments in Japan. They also discussed ways to increase Japanese investment and tourism in the city.
